These terms govern your use of Whispifys, a Chrome extension and web application that records transcripts of Microsoft Teams meetings and generates summaries of them. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What Whispifys does

Whispifys reads the live captions that Microsoft Teams generates when you switch captions on, and stores them as a transcript in your account. It does not record audio or video, and it does not join meetings as a participant. Transcripts are private to the account that recorded them.

2. Your responsibility for consent

You are solely responsible for obtaining whatever consent or notice the law and your organisation require before transcribing a meeting, and for complying with any confidentiality obligations you owe to your employer, your clients, or the other participants. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your failure to do so.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction. One person, one account.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use Whispifys to transcribe conversations you are not a party to.
• Do not use it for surveillance of employees, or of anyone without their knowledge.
• Do not attempt to access another user's transcripts, or to disrupt the service.
• Do not resell the service or its AI output as your own product.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

5. Plans and credits

Recording, transcripts, search and spaces are unlimited on every plan. Credits are spent only when you use the built-in AI, at the rates published on the pricing page. Plan credits are granted each billing period and do not roll over; purchased top-up credits do not expire.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If your subscription lapses you return to the Free plan — your transcripts and any purchased credits remain yours.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Polar, who act as the merchant of record and seller for your purchase. Their terms apply to the transaction itself, and their name appears on your statement. Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of any tax Polar is required to collect.

7. AI output

Summaries and answers are generated by large language models and can be wrong. They may omit important points, misattribute statements, or state things that were never said. Do not rely on them as a record of what was agreed. The transcript, not the summary, is the record — and even that depends on the accuracy of the captions Teams produced.

8. Availability

Whispifys is provided as-is, without a guaranteed level of availability. We may change or discontinue features. We take reasonable care with your data but do not warrant that transcripts will never be lost; keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The extension stores transcripts locally as well, and you can download any transcript as a text file at any time.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Whispifys is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or loss of data.

10. Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time; doing so deletes your transcripts. We may terminate these terms if you breach them. Sections 2, 7, 9 and 10 survive termination.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in the application. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
